Olympic Torch in New Hazelton!!!
On January 30th 2010, New Hazelton hosted the start of the Olympic Torch Relay through the Hazeltons. We were honored to be chosen as a host community. The outdoor celebration at Allen Park to welcome the Olympic Flame was a memory that will not quickly be forgotten !!
The District of New Hazelton Council and Staff would like to thank all who came out to celebrate the arrival of the Olympic Flame with us. We would also like to thank the volunteers who came and gave of themselves to make the event such a success.
A special thank you to the Hazelton Community Choir, the All Clans Dancers, and the Gidahmes Dancers for their performances at the celebration.
